Facebook Vs. Twitter! What Site Should You Be Using To Build Your Online Business?

by John Marshall on August 31, 2009

Facebook and Twitter are what we call juggernauts. They both are at the top of their game and only getting stronger. It would do both of them injustices to say they are in their prime, because both are in a great position to become even more powerful in the future. So what corner will you be cheering for in the hope to grow your business to new heights online?

Well I would hope you could find yourself in both corners trying to find a way to combine the powers of both websites to benefit your business. That’s right both Facebook and Twitter have great power and to truly harness each websites potential, you must use both side by side. So how can you harness the best of both worlds?

1. Connect both websites. Put your Twitter link on your Facebook profile and your Facebook link on your Twitter profile. This allows for people on twitter to get to know you better and people on Facebook can stay connect with you faster through your tweets.

2. Say Hi In Your Twitter’s Direct Messages. If you set your Twitter account up to send out automated direct messages, have them say something like “Hello nice to meet you” and “thanks for the follow“, “I would love to stay connected and find out more about you on Facebook” and post your Facebook link in the message. This is a great way to add new friends and business contacts to Facebook in a timely manner.

3. Use Facebook To Really Build Your Relationships. Facebook is easier to connect with people and find out more about them. The 140 character tweets are better used to keep people up to date not tell them your life story. .So really build a good relationship with your social media following on Facebook.

4. Brand Yourself: Brand Yourself on both sites in the same way. Make sure you have the same photo on each site. This allows people to recognize you easier. Have the same message on both pages. If you twitter talks about how much you love marketing and then you don’t talk about it on Facebook, some people can get confused with your message. Keep has much of your profile pages the same and don’t confuse people!

So get out their and harness the great power that both sites give you in building your online/network marketing business. If you are looking to really take your online/network marketing business to the next level and no one has showed you how, fill the form out below…
